Anyone else know anything about CERN?
I like the sound of their LHC and I hope to get a job there when i'm old enough - If that fails though i'll probably become an IT techician or something.
I really think that the LHC will make some great developements when it's finished.

Huh? Call me thick, but I have never heard of any of those things. I'm Aussie. That's my excuse.

Cern is a big physics place in geneva . They have big particle accelarators - the one currently in construction is the LHC, the Large Hadron Collider.

Well, the original subject fits because it's a physics laborotory, but the tangent? No clue.

This thread is only 1 page long. Surely it shouldn't be off topic already. Back ON topic people/

It depends if the finish the LHC. The Euro one, right?
Because the American one was going to be great and then the government scrapped it.

The american government does not invest enough in physics.

But the European is this close to being scrapped. They keep lowering the money and pushing back the date when it'll be ready.
